Thank you to everyone who has played the game thus far! I never expected Beyond You! to have such an impact, but I’ve been fortunate enough to receive a lot of kind messages, fan art and thoughtful feedback on the project. With that said, I’m going to be pursuing a Kickstarter to help cover the cost of art, and also with the potential for an earlier preview of the final game.

My current estimate for the Kickstarter is to begin it as of June 30th, but this is subject to change with personal funding and with developing the story. I want the game finished and delivered before August 2019. There will be physical rewards such as stickers and prints, but the baseline goal is to cover the cost of art. Stretch goals will be added for a unique score, voice acting(!?) and additional scenes. The base goal will be around $1500, to cover CGs, sprites and other necessary art. Again, these are initial figures and are subject to change as time goes on.

This is my first professional project, though I have overseen short, proof of concept games in the past. As primary writer and coder, I know I am capable of delivering the work. Strong scope management and strict deadlines are important to me, and I will do my best to ensure I put forward the best version of my game that I can.

I am intent on streaming the process, while avoiding spoilers. I will also be doing a stream dedicated to showing the audience how to make your first visual novel, and the bare essentials as I’ve come to understand them. I’m learning, alongside you folks, and I hope to keep you part of the process! As you have been since Harris first slid onto the screen.
